CALENDERED SHEETS

Thanks to process optimisation, we again succeeded in significantly enhancing the surface gloss, and flatness of our sheets.
It is commonly known that sheets made of thermoplastics with a thickness of less than 8 mm are normally produced by calendering. This avoids major fluctuations regarding the dimensional stability of the thin sheets. Since the rollers always have a mirror finish and the roller surface is always shown on the sheet surface, this favours the extremely high surface quality and levelness. These semi-finished products, which meet very tight tolerances, are frequently used for the production of milled seals, for sheets to be processed further by folding and for components in straight vacuum forming. We have unlaminated sheets in natural colour, sized 2000 x 1000 mm, available in stock in the following materials:

A large-scale sheet order made of ECOGEHR PLA® was successfully realised in customised solutions thanks to the measure described above.
