FIL-A-GEHR PEEKTM
Polyetheretherketone ranks among the high Performance thermoplastics thanks to its high melting point of 649 °F (343 °C) and its maximum continuous operating temperature of 500 °F (260 °C). Its particular chemical structure makes PEEK largely stable against thermal and chemical damage and permits its usage inside the body. In case of fire, the smoke development of PEEK is the lowest of all thermoplastics; the material is therefore used in aviation. FIL-A-GEHR PEEKTM is an experimental filament with a processing temperature of 707 °F (375 °C) in the heated chamber 202 °F (180 °C). The material is specifically apt for use on 3D printers.

Der Werkstoff Polyetheretherketon zählt mit einer Schmelztemperatur von 343 °C und einer oberen Dauergebrauchstemperatur von 260 °C zu den Hochleistungsthermoplasten. Seine besondere chemische Struktur machen PEEK weitestgehend stabil gegen thermische und chemische Schädigung und erlauben seinen Einsatz auch im Körperinneren. Von allen Thermoplasten hat PEEK die geringste Rauchentwicklung im Brandfall, daher wird der Werkstoff in der Luftfahrt eingesetzt. FIL-A-GEHR PEEK® ist ein Experimentalfilament mit einer Verarbeitungstemperatur von 375 °C im beheizten Bauraum (180 °C). Der Werkstoff ist für den Einsatz auf 3D Druckern speziell ausgerüstet.
