On 3rd December 2008, the Bioplastics Awards 2008 were given for third time at the Bioplastics Conference in Munich. The prize for Best Bioplastics Processor went to GEHR for its semi-finished products from the ECOGEHR^® range.

The judges were particularly impressed by the innovative performance of GEHR as the first manufacturer of extruded semi-finished products made from bio-plastics, which opens up whole new areas of use for the materials. Particular emphasis was given to the fact that a whole range of bioplastics products is available in the shape of ECOGEHR^®, thus enabling customers' varying requirements to be addressed depending on the particular application.
